Common Questions

14-Day Grand Safari FAQ

The 14-day grand safari covers Tanzania's full range: Northern Circuit (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro), Southern Circuit (Ruaha National Park and Nyerere National Park / former Selous), and 2 nights in Zanzibar. You experience Tanzania's three major wildlife ecosystems — the open savanna of the north, the remote wilderness of the south, and the Indian Ocean coast.

Pricing varies by group size, travel dates, and accommodation tier. Contact us for a personalised quote.

Ruaha National Park is Tanzania's largest national park (20,226 km²) and one of Africa's least visited — raw, uncrowded wilderness. Known for large elephant herds, lions, wild dogs, sable and roan antelope rarely seen in the north. Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous, 54,600 km²) is Africa's largest protected area. It offers boat safaris on the Rufiji River — completely different from land-based Northern Circuit game drives.

No special fitness is required. Game drives are in 4x4 vehicles. Walking safaris in Ruaha and Nyerere are optional. The main considerations are the domestic flights (luggage limit 15kg soft bag on bush flights), early morning starts, and long drive days on the Northern Circuit. A reasonable level of comfort with travel is all that is needed.

The 14-Day Grand Tanzania Safari operates year-round with 2026, 2027, and 2028 departures available. For Southern Circuit camps and Zanzibar resorts, availability can be limited — we recommend booking 3–4 months in advance. Contact us to check current availability and receive a personalised quote for your preferred year.
