Day-by-Day Timeline
Day 1 — Arrive JRO · Arusha Overnight(D)
Private transfer to your Arusha lodge. Briefing covers route, expected wildlife, and beach connection flights to Zanzibar.
Day 2 — Tarangire National Park(B, L, D)
Game drives between ancient baobabs and the Tarangire River. Dry-season brings sizeable elephant families, buffalo, and lion ambushes along river loops.
Day 3 — Fly/Drive to Serengeti (Central)(B, L, D)
Enter the endless plains. Afternoon focuses on Seronera’s riverine corridors for leopard and sunset lion activity on kopjes.
Day 4 — Full-Day Serengeti(B, L, D)
Sunrise start. Track cheetah on short-grass and scan for elephant, giraffe, and mixed antelope herds. Optional balloon flight at dawn (extra).
Day 5 — Serengeti AM · Ngorongoro Highlands PM(B, L, D)
Morning game drive before climbing into cool highlands. Rim-view lodge with sweeping caldera vistas.
Day 6 — Ngorongoro Crater Descent · Fly to Zanzibar(B, L)
Early Crater entry to beat traffic and catch soft light. Work the marsh and grasslands for rhino, lion, and hippo. Afternoon flight to Zanzibar; overnight in Stone Town.
Day 7 — Stone Town & Spice Farm · Transfer to Beach(B)
Guided walk through coral-stone alleys, Old Fort, and Forodhani. Optional spice farm visit before heading to your north or east coast beach resort.
Day 8–9 — Zanzibar Beach Days(B)
Indian Ocean downtime: dhow sunset cruise, snorkeling Mnemba Atoll, kiteboarding in Paje, or simply palm-shade and book time.
Day 10 — Depart Zanzibar(B)
Transfer to ZNZ for your international connection via DAR/DOH/IST/ADD as preferred.
