Day-by-Day Timeline
Day 1 — Arrive Kilimanjaro (JRO) · Arusha Overnight(D)
Meet-and-greet at JRO and transfer to your Arusha lodge. Pre-safari briefing covers migration seasonality, daily start times, and camera setup for low-light action.
Day 2 — Fly to Serengeti · Central (Seronera) Big-Cat Focus(B, L, D)
Morning flight to Seronera and game drive on arrival. Classic Serengeti scenes with resident lion prides, leopards along the river figs, and hyena clans working the plains.
Day 3 — Shift to Seasonal Migration Zone(B, L, D)
Calving season (Dec–Mar): move to Ndutu where wildebeest drop calves on mineral-rich short grass—prime cheetah country.
Grumeti (May–Jun): base near the Western Corridor for riverbank ambushes and croc-patrolled crossings.
Mara (Jul–Oct): push north toward the Mara River for high-drama crossings and vulture spirals.
Day 4–5 — Full Migration Tracking(B, L, D)
Long-range drives to intercept herds using recent movement intel. Expect mixed species herds, dust trails, and predators keying into the migration: lion, cheetah, hyena, jackal, raptors.
Your guide adjusts routes daily to maximize crossing opportunities while minimizing traffic pressure at sensitive sites.
Day 6 — Scenic Return via Central Serengeti(B, L, D)
Loop back through the granite kopjes and sausage-tree valleys for final big-cat time and last-light photography.
Day 7 — Fly Out · Arusha Connections(B)
Short hop to Arusha. Connect to international departure or extend to Zanzibar for post-safari beach time.
