The Migration is cyclical, moving year-round. The most dramatic times are the River Crossings (June – September) in the Western and Northern Serengeti, and the Calving Season (January – March) in the Ndutu region (South Serengeti).
Yes. The Southern Circuit parks (Ruaha and Nyerere) are remote and large. We strongly recommend fly-in safaris from Arusha or Dar es Salaam to maximize your time viewing wildlife and minimize travel fatigue.
The best weather is generally during the dry seasons: June to October and December to February. Avoid the long rains (April/May) when visibility can be lower and some resorts may close.
